This fabulous journey on route to Valencia is not only inspiring, but will surprise even the most adventurous road cyclist. Starting in the small town of Denia, on the Alicante coastline, you discover that this trip is not taking a coastal route north, but heading west into the Mountains. Each day you test your legs and your stamina with short climbs and relax as you descend the other side, passing from one valley to another. Like most of Spain the mountainous regions have a lower population and so the roads are very quiet. Spectacular views and the variety of landscapes will keep you overwhelmed whilst you keep the pedals turning and together we travel through orange and olive groves until we reach the Valencia flat lands where Paella rice is cultivated. This is the home of Paella and of course you will taste an authentic country version along the way! Something to quench your taste buds!
